Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office searching for inmate who escaped from jail

OKFUSKEE COUNTY, Okla. — The Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office says that an inmate being held at the Okfuskee County Jail has escaped.

Officials say Joshua Butler was originally a Hughes County inmate who was being housed at the Okfuskee County Jail pursuant to inter-county housing arrangement.

The Okfuskee County Sheriff is working with Hughes County officials and other law enforcement to apprehend Butler.

Butler is described as 6′ 1″ weighing 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

They are advising people not to approach or try to detain Butler.
