TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said a 14-year-old boy was arrested and accused of robbing another boy at gunpoint near the Discovery Lab on Saturday.
Police said around 10:20 p.m., officers responded to a robbery call at the Discovery Lab near Riverside Drive and East 31st Street.
The caller, who was the victim’s mother, said a group of kids had chased her son down and pulled a gun, sticking it in his ribs and stealing his cash.
Multiple officers responded and found a group of juveniles by nearby basketball courts, including a 14-year-old boy who matched the description of the suspect with a gun.
Officers took the suspect into custody and found a loaded pistol tucked in a pocket near his chest. A records check on the gun’s serial number showed it was stolen.
Police said the suspect was arrested and brought to the Community Intervention Center (CIC) for robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a minor and knowingly concealing stolen property.
