EMSA is tracking winter weather related calls across Tulsa

By Fox23.com News Staff

TULSA, Okla. — As this weekend’s winter storm evolves, EMSA will be providing regular updates about conditions and the weather related calls they respond to throughout Tulsa.

By 4:00 p.m. on Friday, EMSA said they’ve always responded to four cold exposure calls. Two patients were transferred to the hospital.

At this time, EMSA is urging residents to use these last few hours to finalize preparations. They encourage people to check their heating equipment, dress in layers if they must go outside and to regularly check on vulnerable neighbors and family members throughout the storm.

Do not use a generator indoors due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
