TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Mayfest 2026 is set to be Route-66 inspired and will be held May 29-30.
In January we told you when the University of Tulsa announced it had released the rights to the festival.
Now, Ken Busby with Route 66 Alliance and other organizers have come forward to reveal the plans for the festival for 2026 and 2027.
In 2026, the theme for the festival is set to be called “Mayfest: Road Trip.”
Organizers said they’re planning to hold Mayfest celebrations throughout the month of May.
On every Saturday throughout the month, the Campbell Hotel will be hosting the Mayfest Youth Art Gallery where student artwork will be highlighted and featured.
On the traditional Mayfest weekend of May 15 to May 17, regional artists will have their artwork featured at an event called Local Art at Mother Road Market.
On May 29, various groups will be providing entertainment for the public on the Tailgate Stage at Expo Square from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Mayfest celebrations will also coincide with the Capital Cruise celebrations planned for May 30.
On Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the festival will be providing music and entertainment as the Capital Cruise begins its trek on the Mother Road.
For Mayfest 2027, organizers said they plan to return the festival to the Business District with a specific focus on expanding visual and performing arts.
