KILLEEN, Texas — Two suspects have been arrested for the murder of a Sapulpa soldier who went missing from Ft. Hood over six years ago.
In 2019, 23-year old Gregory Wedel-Morales, was reported missing from Ft. Hood in Killeen, Texas, and about a year later, his skeletal remains were found in a field with a gunshot wound to the head. His death was listed as “homicide” by the medical examiner.
After six years of investigating, Darius Demarcus Nobles and Darion Lequan Brown were arrested for the murder of the Sapulpa soldier. Brown was served a warrant while in custody at the Parker County jail for unrelated charges, and Nobles was arrested in Harris County and is being held without bond.
Wedel-Morales was initially listed as a deserter, but his status was eventually changed to “missing” before his remains were found.
