TULSA, Okla. — Circle Cinema will hold a special screening of L.A. Jesus, a film starring award-winning Tulsan Terral Altom, with 25 percent of ticket proceeds donated to the BeHeard Movement.

Terral Altom, who plays the lead role of Jesus, is an actor and creative with more than 15 years of industry experience.

Altom began his career at TUTV while completing his Communications degree at the University of Tulsa. His career spans multiple mediums, including news broadcasting, international print campaigns and a range of film and television roles.

Circe Cinema describes L.A. Jesus as a Drama and Comedy about a troubled executive who meets a homeless man on Venice Beach claiming to be Jesus.

Our news partners at FOX23 spoke with Altom on what it means for him to be featured in the film.

“This is a lifetime achievement for me. I’ve wanted to be an actor in Hollywood since I was a 9-years-old and everyone thought I was crazy, but I knew I could do it,” said Altom.

Most recently, Altom earned Best Actor at the New York International Film Festival for his performance in L.A. Jesus.

“My main goal with this movie is to spread the love of God that I feel everyday with the world and to help every hopeless homeless person out there. I want them to know that there’s hope and that some of us are doing everything we can to get you back on your feet,” said Altom.

The screening is set for March 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Circle Cinema (10 South Lewis Avenue).

“I wanted to show Tulsans that a kid from Tulsa Public Schools, from the University of Tulsa, can rise up and make a move in Hollywood,” said Altom.
