Authorities search for arson suspect after north Tulsa house fire

TULSA, Okla. — Authorities are looking for a person who they said started a fire in a vacant house in north Tulsa.

Firefighters put out a small fire at a house near East Pine Street and North Lewis Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. They said they were able to put it out in a couple of minutes.

Investigators said a window was broken, and some type of fuel was poured inside the house and lit on fire.

Tulsa police used their helicopter to look for a suspect.

The Tulsa Fire Department said a firefighter was taken to hospital after overheating, but he is expected to be okay.
