TULSA, Okla. — A Jenks high schooler is one step closer to his goal of singing the National Anthem 100 times before graduating,
Joshua Taylor helped kick off Tulsa Oktoberfest’s opening ceremonies Thursday night by singing the National Anthem.
It was his 29th performance and to reach his goal by his 2024 graduation, he’ll need to sing the National Anthem once a week.
Taylor said his passion for singing the National Anthem came from his family.
“Both of my grandfathers served in the military, one of them in the Korean War, said Taylor. " I was born on Memorial Day weekend, always been very patriotic.”
You can catch his next performance on Nov. 11 at the Tulsa Veteran’s Day Parade.
