2 dead after industrial accident in Catoosa

CATOOSA, Okla. — Two men are dead after an industrial accident at the Port of Catoosa.

First responders were called out to Sooner Coating just before 7 a.m. Friday.

According to first responders, two men were crushed by steel plates Thursday night and were found Friday morning by the day crew.

Tulsa Fire said the facility operations are closed until an investigation is completed.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA confirmed they are investigating the incident.

OSHA said by law, they have up to six months to complete the investigation.
