A traffic fatality near Holland Hall School needs the medical examiner to say how a man died.
Tulsa Police Sergeant Demario Gay said the driver ran off the road and hit a utility pole before the car caught on fire around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
"The male had been discovered deceased inside the vehicle and we later found out that a female passenger was able to get out of the vehicle on her own," said Sgt. Gay.
She was taken to the hospital.
Traffic was diverted for several hours on 81st between Yale and Sheridan.
No names have been released.
