Broken Arrow police said a student at the Broken Arrow Freshman Academy was found to be in possession of a handgun Monday.
According to BAPD, school security located the student and retrieved the gun before police officers arrived on scene.
BAPD said their investigation determined that the student had no plan or intention to use the gun.
Police said the juvenile is Native American and they said charges are pending through the Muscogee Creek Nation.
