Police in Bixby are warning people that scammers are calling people, claiming they need to pay unpaid warrants.
And they say the callers are using a police officer’s name too.
They say they’ve gotten reports of the same kind of scam at various places around the country.
They remind citizens that police will never ask you to pay any kind of fine or unpaid warrant over the phone or by e-mail.
They say they’re investigating who’s responsible for these latest scam calls.
