Broken Arrow High School and Freshman Academy halting in-person classes

Three week hiatus due to Covid-19 surge

Broken Arrow students in grades 9 through 12 will be going back to distance learning only, starting on Monday and continuing until after the Thanksgiving break.

The district says they have too many absences of teachers and school bus drivers because of Covid-19.

They say they have a total of more than 700 personnel who are off work right now.

Students in other grades will continue with in-person classes for now.

The district says what they’re experiencing “mirrors the significant uptick” in community spread in the Broken Arrow area.

Students in grades 9 through 12 are scheduled to go back to in-person classes on November 30th.
