Broken Arrow house is destroyed in Saturday fire

We're learning more about a house fire in Broken Arrow Saturday morning near 81st and South 161st East Avenue.

Crews at the scene believe the blaze may have started in the fireplace. We do know the fire spread just a tad to the home next door and a resident inside says everything happened in a blur.

“My boyfriend came and got me and said there was a firefighter at the door and we need to get out now,” she said.  “It was snowing when we walked out.”

There were two men inside the actual house on fire and they made it out safely. Their home is said to be a total loss.

So far, no reports of any firefighter injuries.
