Broken Arrow police end standoff at domestic dispute scene

BAPD: Suspect threatened to kill his wife, police during 5 hour standoff

An argument between a wife and her husband turns into a standoff with Broken Arrow police.

The woman and her brother were able to get away from the house and call police around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

BA Police Corporal Leon Calhoun said the husband "began to assault her. At one point he actually did pull a hand gun and I believe he was also in possession of a knife, threaten to kill her."

We're told the husband, 41-year old Jack Campbell, also had threatened to kill police.

Traffic was restricted at the scene near 6300 South 116 East Avenue until police broke a window in the suspect's house and he surrendered around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
