Clark Howard says Mazda, Lexus have cheapest operating costs

More important than sticker price, he says

The Tulsa Auto Show happens this weekend at Expo Square and will no doubt have lots of people thinking about buying a new car.

KRMG's Consumer Warrior Clark Howard has new information on the best prices.

And by price, he doesn't necessarily mean the STICKER price.

"The cost of buying a car, the sticker price, new or used, is not NEARLY as significant as the overall cost of owning it over multiple years," Clark says.

He says a recent study by AAA and Kelly Blue Book shows that Mazda, has the cheapest cost of ownership.

And if you're in the market for a luxury brand, with low operating costs, Clark says Lexus is your best bet.
