Police identify victim in deadly accident in Broken Arrow crash

UPDATE, 3:40 p.m.: Broken Arrow police identify the victim involved in the fatal crash early Wednesday morning as 34-year-old Taylor Thesenvitz.

Officers discovered during the investigation that while Thesenvitz was driving her 2010 Mitsubishi Galant south on Elm, she crossed the center line, striking the semi-truck head on.

Broken Arrow police say the investigation is still ongoing.

UPDATE: Elm Street reopened just before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

UPDATE: Elm Street is closed between Lola and Greeley, traffic is being diverted. Police say the crash happened just after 6 a.m.

The crash involved a semi-truck and a small white sedan. The driver of the sedan died, the truck driver isn’t hurt.

The front of the semi-truck is seriously damaged. The impact of the crash sent the sedan into a ditch. It’s not clear what led up to the crash. The area is expected to be closed off for several hours while police investigate.

The Broken Arrow Police Department is currently investigating a deadly collision involving a semi-truck at the intersection of Elm Place and Greeley Street.

That portion of the road is closed to through traffic during the duration of the investigation and the closure is expected to last several hours and have severe traffic delays, police said.

Police on scene said the crash involved a vehicle and a semi and one person died.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area to allow first responders to investigate the collision.
