Gathering Place community art installation meant to help bring Tulsans together

Contributions invited through the holidays

TULSA, Okla. — Gathering Place Leaders are trying to bring people together while many are forced to be apart.

They’ve created a community art installation called “Tulsa Rocks.”

Anyone can contribute by dropping off a painted rock at the Fairyland Forest within Gathering Place.

Gathering Place Executive Director Tony Moore says the goal of the project is to showcase the strength and courage of Tulsans throughout the pandemic.

The project was made possible with support from the Tulsa Artist Fellowship.

It will stay up and people can continue to contribute through the holidays.
