The top Google searches across the United States in 2022 included the viral word game Wordle, results from the November election and the deaths of Betty White, Bob Saget and Queen Elizabeth.
KRMG took a deeper dive into Google’s data to see what people searched for about Tulsa.
Sadly, the most common searches about Tulsa relate to the June 1st shooting inside the Natalie Medical Building that left four innocent people, plus the shooter, dead.
Searches about Tulsa peaked right after the tragedy.
On a much more positive note, the second most common reason people Google searched Tulsa was the new Paramount Plus series Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone.
Google’s data shows people also looked up Tulsa weather and sports, historic events like the Tulsa Race Massacre and local music venues.
