High-school quarterback suspended for "inappropriately touching" his center

Player claims the QB tickled him

Garrett Moore credits football for getting him on track.

"It kind of changed my whole life," the freshman QB began. "I was in trouble when I was younger, just behavior, and right when I started playing football everything just changed.”

Moore was at practice when he was told to take a few snaps.

Garrett told The Statesman Journal the center told him to, "go way up there, and it felt very uncomfortable." Moore continued, "I touched him, and he started laughing. I guess I tickled him."

The center then moved to defense but walked back toward Moore several plays later and kneed him in the groin.

Coaches separated the two and Moore thought it ended there.

He was wrong.

While in school, a few day’s later Moore was summoned to the assistant principal’s office.

He described what happened and talked about ongoing problems he had with other students before being sent back to class.

The other boy involved was interviewed and minutes later Garrett was escorted from the building and suspended for "inappropriately touching another student.”
