BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Several Oklahoma schools received violent threats today, including in Owasso and Broken Arrow.
District leaders in Owasso said a vague threat was made toward the high school. Even though they said it was found not to be credible, the district added more police officers around district campuses.
Police in Broken Arrow said threats were made there too, and as a precaution, the high school, the freshman academy, Creekwood Elementary and Vanguard Academy were placed on lockdown for a while.
Multiple schools in the Oklahoma City area also received threats Monday.
Moore police addressed the issue on social media, calling it a nationwide hoax.
