Jekyll and Hyde stops in Tulsa on the way to Broadway

Celebrity Attractions announces 2013-2014 season

They're just passing through but it's where they're going that's pretty cool. Jekyll and Hyde opened Tuesday night at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center and runs through Sunday. Once the show is finished here they'll hit a few more tour stops and then the entire show heads to Broadway.

"It's sort of like our warm up" Constantine Maroulis told KRMG news. Maroulis plays Jekyll and Hyde in the show opposite R&B star Deborah Cox's Lucy.

Maroulis said a role like Jekyll and Hyde can be demanding but the key is to find a way to relate to the character.”It helps you to be really believable in those moments” he explained. Maroulis continued “to connect things in your life to what’s happening in the story and that’s what the audience really responds to.”

Listen to the entire interview with Constantine and Deborah here.

Cox told us she enjoys bringing something a little different to the role every night “its live theatre, every night is different, there’s something that’s going to be different because it’s like and that’s the fun part.”

Maroulis jumped at the chance when we asked him how he would describe the show in a couple of sentences. “It’s a beautiful gothic thriller” he began. “It’s sexy, it’s dangerous, and it’s the tale of good and evil the duality of man” he noted.

The show will open at Broadway's Marquis Theatre in New York in mid-April.

Celebrity Attractions also took the opportunity to introduce their 2013-2014 season and it's one filled with hits.
