Jenks Police Department mourns loss of an officer

Jenks, Okla. — The Jenks Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its own.

Reserve Officer Tom Potter died Saturday after complications from a heart attack.

"Tom was the most authentic and selfless person I ever knew." Corporal Steven Wylie told FOX23.

In a Facebook post, Jenks Police Chief Cameron Arthur wrote, “His fellow officers agree it was such an honor and privilege serving with him and I echo their sentiment. “

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Officer Potter's family.
