Lanes closed on highway 169 due to flooding

Same area was closed last week

Rain and lane closures on 169

Two lanes are closed on southbound 169 between 51st and 61st due to nearly a foot of water on the roadway. At least two cars had to be towed after they stalled in high water.

Just last week the same area flooded during heavy rains forcing ODOT to clear drains on the highway.

At the time ODOT said debris had built up in the drains, causing the problem. The agency said they were only able to partially clear the drains and planned to come back with heavy equipment when conditions were dry.

KRMG has a reporter on the scene and will continue to update the drive and the let you know when things clear up.
