Live grenade found inside Tulsa home

Thu, March 16, 2017 — A man was taken into custody on Wednesday, in connection with a shooting last weekend.

The incident happened near Admiral and Lewis.

While searching the home of Jason Wood, Tulsa police Sgt. Dave Walker tells us they found a fake explosive.  A few moments later, officers located a live grenade.

The bomb squad was then called out to the scene.

“We had already jostled it around,” Walker said.  “If there was going to be a real danger to anybody in there, then we would already be blown up.”

The bomb squad took the grenade away safely.

Wood was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a count of shooting with intent to kill.
