Local reverend looking for donations for Christmas baskets to giveaway on Christmas Eve

TULSA, Okla. — Reverend W.R. Casey is continuing his mission of helping by giving away as many Christmas baskets to families as possible.

Rev. W.R. Casey is the CEO and President of the Christian Ministers Alliance.

He said his main goal is to help people all over Green Country.

“We’ve been in existence for almost 57 years,” said Rev. Casey. “We’ve had food giveaways for almost 43 years. We had our giveaway at McLain High School Thursday night, but we always have another giveaway on Christmas Eve. We help families with food and toys.”

He said he could use the public’s help.

Currently, they don’t have any Christmas baskets to give away, but the lack of donations is not stopping him from having hope.

“We’ve prayed and the Lord gave us a vision to help people, and we have been ever since,” said Rev. Casey.

He plans to have the Christmas Eve giveaway at Timothy Baptist Church at 6:00 p.m.

Rev. Casey said they need canned food, chicken, cranberry sauce, green beans, rolls, and toys. Anything that can be used to make a Christmas meal is welcome.

If you’re interested in donating, Rev. Casey said to call him at 918-902-1374 to arrange a pick-up or drop-off time.
