Man connected to 1999 disappearance of two Welch girls to be released from prison early

Ronnie Busick, convicted of accessory to murder after the disappearance of Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman in 1999, will soon be a free man.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections told KRMG Busick will be released May 19th.

A spokesperson said Busick is a model inmate and has been receiving 60 days credit per month as he serves his sentence.

Busick, 71, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, plus 5 years probation, in 2020.

He’s currently housed in the Lexington Correctional Center.
