Mack was taken to the hospital and died a short time later.

The victim of an alleged assault in a hotel hallway turned into the suspect in a deadly shooting Tuesday night in midtown Tulsa.

Police confirmed a man was arrested on Wednesday in connection to the deadly shooting.

“All parties have been located and no matter what occurred you know someone lost their life,” said Officer Danny Bean with Tulsa Police Department.

Officer Bean said around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to a shooting at the Studio Star Hotel near 1-44 and Yale Avenue.

Once on scene, officers found a male victim in the main hallway with multiple gunshot wounds.

“They got there and found a male with multiple gunshot wounds, I believe two, and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead,” said Officer Bean.

During their investigation, police said they learned it all started with a fight between the suspected shooter and a group of people staying at the hotel.

The victim was taken to the hospital where they later died, and the suspect left the scene before officers arrived.

“The female involved in this was having some issues and making a big scene in the lobby, and two males that were with her located the subject, who was our victim, who she was talking about and they jumped him…assaulting him and unfortunately for them, he pulled out a gun when he was getting assaulted,” said Officer Bean.

Police were able to track down the alleged shooter through witness interviews and surveillance video.

On Wednesday afternoon, police arrested Solomon McCall in connection to the shooting for having a gun as a convicted felon.

“There are multiple different avenues this could go down, we know our homicide detectives are the best at this and our patrol officers that did this and will be able to find out rather quickly…or however long they are going to find the truth and know what happened by the time this is over,” Officer Bean said.

Police will continue to investigate and turn their findings over to the Tulsa County District Attorney who will decide whether to file charges.
