Man takes police on slow pursuit

SAND SPRINGS — A convicted felon took Sand Springs officers on a slow pursuit this week.

That's because Bret Delozier was riding a motorized bicycle capable of reaching up to 35 miles per hour.  A police official tells us Delozier is accused of blowing through a stop sign while riding the bike and the pursuit ensued.

Delozier eventually crashed near 8th and Main.  He was quickly tracked down and arrested.

Neighbors we spoke to say the situation was absurd and a little frightening.

“Scary, honestly,” one neighbor admitted.  “In the middle of the day, just on a bike, that is scary.”

Officers recovered a gun, a silencer, meth, Valium, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a knife and two cellphones.  Delozier has been booked on multiple counts.
