Your Local Security released a study comparing police salaries by state.
Coming in at 40th is Oklahoma, at just over $51,000/yr.
Compared to the surrounding states it looks like it's about average with Kansas and Missouri earning just under $53,000/yr and Arkansas and Louisiana earning about $44,000/yr.
Texas is the big winner, with their cops earning nearly $65,000/yr, garnering a top 20 spot.
