Quadruple homicide suspect killed after short pursuit in Catoosa

Catoosa — A man wanted for a particularly brutal homicide in a Chicago suburb has died after a brief pursuit involving Catoosa police officers.

KRMG has confirmed that the man, Nathaniel Huey, Jr., 31, was the prime suspect in the murders of four people, including two young children, in Romeoville, Illinois.

His vehicle tag was picked up by a Flock security camera in Catoosa late Wednesday morning.

Police saw Huey and a woman get into the vehicle, but when they tried to pull it over the pursuit began.

It didn’t last long, as the man crashed into a concrete barrier less than a mile away.

Hunter McKee, spokesman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, confirmed the man died in the crash and that his female passenger was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition.

Her name was not released.

He did not confirm that either had suffered gunshot wounds, however police in Romeoville stated that Huey was found “fatally shot” inside the vehicle.

It’s believed the murders of the family and their pets happened some time over the weekend.

The victims were Alberto Rolon, 38, Zoraida Bartolomei, 32, and their two boys, 7 and 9.
