KRMG has learned the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been contacted regarding an officer-involved shooting in Oklmulgee County.
The sheriff's office reports a deputy was involved in a pursuit Saturday night with a suspect on a motorcycle.
“(The chase) ended at the intersection of Belmont and Sherman in the City of Okmulgee when the motorcycle crashed,” sheriff’s office said. “The suspect and the deputy were then involved in an encounter which resulted in the deputy firing his weapon at the suspect.”
No word on if the suspect was hit. So far, no names have been released.
We do know the deputy will be placed on routine administrative leave pending OSBI’s investigation.
