Pill mill doc pleads guilty to fraud

A former Oklahoma City doctor, who faced 29 felony counts, has pleaded guilty to Medicaid fraud and multiple drug offenses.

Harvey Jenkins operated Aria Orthopedics in Oklahoma City.

Investigators contend Jenkins prescribed large quantities of opioids and other narcotics from January 2010 to February 2015.

His plea is the result of a probe conducted by the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

Jenkins’ plea deal includes a 20-year suspended prison sentence and restitution totaling more than $181,000.
