Tulsa, Okla. — An attempted armed robbery suspect is arrested near the scene of the crime.
We're told the man tried to rob a Quiktrip employee at the store near Pine and Mingo.
TPD Sgt. Brett Bilyeu said, “A suspect described as a large white male approached (the victim’s) vehicle with a gun and attempted to open up the (vehicle) door.”
The suspect broke the victim's car door handle.
Tulsa police arrived and a canine tracked down 26-year old Collen Wells nearby.
He was arrested around 9 p.m. Monday for armed robbery with a firearm after a felony conviction.
