TULSA, Okla. — City of Tulsa contractor ParkMobile, which handles parking downtown through an app, is alerting users of a ransomware attack.
This is separate from the city ransomware attack we told you about in April where hackers gained access to the city’s servers.
ParkMobile says in March they became aware of a cybersecurity incident linked to a third-party software. The contractor says they eliminated the problem and are reaching out update users.
An investigation revealed no credit card information was accessed. General account info such as license plate numbers, email addresses, phone numbers and in a small number of cases addresses were accessed.
They recommend users change their passwords as an added precaution. Click here to change your password.
