CAM the Ram is a big deal at Colorado State. The mascot for the school's sports teams died the same day the Rams were set to take on the arch-rival Colorado Buffalos.
The 24th version of CAM was a 6-year-old Rambouillet sheep. The Coloradan reports the animal lived on a family's Ft. Collins farm and loved nacho cheese Doritos.
The mascot ran across the end zone after touchdowns and was a regular at campus functions. Eventually, one of CAM’s own offspring may take the field. Workers say he fathered five lambs in the spring.
