Police are still searching for an Oklahoma girl who was swept away by floodwaters after a crash in Sherman, Texas on Christmas Eve.
Sherman Police said they’ve been searching for 8-year-old Clara Robinson after the crash at Highway 75 near Taylor Street. Clara’s father, Will Robinson, died after the vehicle they were in left the roadway and became trapped in a drainage ditch.
Robinson was a coach at Durant Public Schools. Kristen Robinson and three of their children survived, but authorities are searching for Clara, who is still missing.
In an update, Sherman Police said the search for Clara continued Sunday after 7 a.m.
According to police, search teams included personnel from Sherman Police and Fire, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Whitewright Fire, Bells Fire, Tom Bean Fire, Texas-Search and Rescue (TEXSAR) and local diver Brady Baskin.
Sherman Police said no donations should be made to a fundraiser not verified by the Robinson family. Police only confirmed a benefit account at First United Bank was opened for donations.
