State lawmakers warn about email scam

OKLAHOMA CITY — Another scam is hitting email inboxes in Oklahoma.

The House of Representatives Majority Caucus Chair Stan May, of Broken Arrow, sent a warning to the public on Monday.

May says do not open emails appearing to come from him, or other House members, inviting you to open and review a Dropbox pdf labeled “2024 OK House Outreach.”

The email is not originating from an OK House account and may contain harmful malware.

“Please do not open these emails or click any links, but delete them,” May said. “We are investigating the source of these fake emails and will do all we can to hold accountable those who responsible for trying to deceive our constituents and our contacts.”

House IT is investigating the source of the phishing emails.
