ADAIR COUNTY, Okla. — A long stretch of strong storms moved through Green Country early Wednesday morning, leaving behind damage in some counties where those storms turned severe.
A possible tornado moved through parts of Adair County around 6 a.m., prompting damage reports including downed power lines and flooded streets.
Westville Public Schools canceled classes Wednesday due to the storms and chance of flooding.
In Piney, south of Westville, Adair County Emergency Management says there have been reports of barn roofs torn off, and minor tree damage from Fairfield to Barron.
The emergency management agency says they’re also seeing flash flooding in low-lying areas.
