Thursday's Broken Arrow tornado rated an EF-2 with 125+ MPH winds

The National Weather Service has rated last night's tornado that hit Broken Arrow as a high-end EF-2 with max wind speed 125-135 mph.

The tornado was on the ground for about 6 miles.

At approximately 8:40 P.M., a tornado was spotted on the ground in Broken Arrow near 95th and County Line Road.

The tornado continued northeast to the Creek Turnpike & State Highway 51, then east to The Crossing at 91st neighborhood at 91st and 257th East Ave.

The most significant damage was observed in the area just east of the Creek Turnpike on Highway 51, where several businesses received significant damage.

No injuries were reported.
