Firefighters investigating church fire as arson

TULSA, Okla. — Firefighters said a church in east Tulsa was damaged Thursday night in a fire.

Fire crews responded to the Chapel of Restoration near 21st and 129th East Ave around 11 p.m.

Firefighters said they saw tall flames coming from the building when they arrived.

Firefighters said a portion of the church was destroyed, but the majority was saved.

Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be the result of arson.
