Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum received the first dose of the COVID-19 Friday.
“If we want to reengage safely in life as we knew it, then this is the way to get it done.” Bynum said.
The mayor took to Facebook to show his excitement.
“Thank you to the team at the Tulsa Health Department for the efficient and friendly operation you’re running.” Bynum wrote. “Thank you to the Oklahoma State Department of Health for being one of the best in the nation at getting the vaccine deployed as quickly as possible to everyone who wants it. Both are deploying vaccine as quickly as they can get it.”
