Two die in Texas plane crash

Norman, Oklahoma was the destination

The search for a Norman-bound plane that vanished from radar has come to a sad end.

Searchers discovered the wreckage of the single-engine plane about 6 miles northwest of Albany, Texas.

The FAA confirms two people are dead.

The single engine Piper Comanche departed from Abilene, Texas, but disappeared at approximately 7:30 Monday night.

The wreckage was discovered at 11:15 Tuesday morning.

Names of the pilot and passenger weren’t immediately released.
