Winter blast causing problems on area roads

TULSA — The snowfall started by late Thursday morning and it didn’t take long for the car crashes to start with KRMG reporting several on Highway 169 and the Broken Expressway by the noon hour.

The Thursday evening and Friday morning commute could be difficult with a winter storm warning in effect until noon on Friday.

FOX23 Meteorologist Laura Mock says we could see between four to six inches of snowfall.

The KRMG StormCenter is activated and will continue to bring you live weather and traffic reports until the storm moves out.

The National Weather Service says an extended quiet weather period will follow the storm with temperatures warming some this weekend into next week.
