TULSA — Michael Bever was 16-years-old when police say say his older brother Robert killed their parents, two younger brothers and 5-year-old sister inside their Broken Arrow home.
Michael is now 19-year-old and charged with five counts of first-degree murder.
The trial began Monday, but Michael wasn’t in the courtroom.
Around 100 potential juror filled out their questionnaire and went home for the day.
If found guilty, Michael Bever could be sentenced to life in prison with a chance for parole, because he was a juvenile when his family was killed.
Robert Bever pleaded guilty in 2016 and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
