TULSA, Okla. — Police arrested a man Monday morning after break-ins reported at two different Tulsa fast-food restaurants.
Tulsa police say they were called about a burglary alarm at the Church’s Chicken location near 50th Place North and Peoria around 1:30 a.m. where they found the front door shattered.
Officers managed to get a look at who they say is responsible on surveillance video at the restaurant.
About two hours later, police say they responded to another alarm at a KFC down the street where they again found the front door shattered.
Officers say they found Deon Tucker walking nearby, and he matched the description of the person seen on video in the first burglary, wearing the same clothing and the same boots.
Officers also found a large gray trashcan full of raw chicken, both of which were reported stolen by KFC.
Police arrested Tucker who is facing charges for two complaints of second-degree burglary and one complaint of drug possession.
Police said on Wednesday they’ve since connected him to another case, saying video surveillance shows the same man breaking into and stealing chicken from the same Church’s location on April 7.
Each time, detectives say he busted a window or glass door to get inside, not only going after chicken but also cash drawers.
They say before the chicken burglaries they were already investigating Tucker in a beauty supply store attempted burglary that happened on April 5.
