Tulsa Police Department (TPD) said Eften Pichardo was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Pointing a Deadly Weapon with Intent, Aggravated Assault and Battery and Threatening a Violent Act.
TPD said on Saturday night they received multiple calls about gunshots near an apartment complex near 41st and Harvard.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a woman who was shot in the leg. Officers gave her medical aid and started to gather information about the identity of the suspect.
A witness on scene told police that the suspect lived in the apartments. As the witness told them this, the suspect, later identified as Eften Pichardo, came out of the apartment with his hands up.
Police said Pichardo was taken into custody without incident.
Multiple witnesses told police that Pichardo shot at the victim.
One witness said that she saw the victim kicking the door of Pichardo’s vehicle. She told police that Pichardo came out of his apartment and started shooting at the victim without saying anything.
A male witness told police that Pichardo came to where he was, which is where the victim fled to after being shot. He said that Pichardo pointed a gun at him, hit the victim in the head and face multiple times and dragged her in the grass. The witness told police that Pichardo was telling the victim that he was going to kill her. This
A third witness told police that she saw Pichardo come out of his apartment and yell “get away from my car or I’ll kill you,” at the victim. She said Pichardo went back into his apartment, came out with a gun and started firing at the victim.
During the search of Pichardo’s apartment, police found an unloaded handgun on the floor.
During the booking process, police said Pichardo said he had just shot a person and needs to be punished.
They also said that Pichardo “made the following excited utterances”: “I shot her three times,” “She wouldn’t leave,” “After the third time she left,” “I went down there to see,” “I’ll do the five years or whatever.”
Police also said that Pichardo said something about self defense pellets.
