One man dead, another arrested after deadly shooting at a north Tulsa grocery store

Tulsa police arrested the suspect for first degree murder.

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police say Bryan Blount, 37, was arrested for first-degree murder following a shooting in the parking lot of Jerrod’s Grocery, Monday night.

Around 8:30 p.m., officers went to Jerrod’s Grocery near East 36th Street North and North Garrison Avenue, where they say the victim died at the scene.

According to TPD, the victim was shot one time in the upper torso.

Police say within an hour, Blount turned himself in at a fire station.

Blount was arrested for first-degree murder.
