TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police Robbery Detectives are trying to identify the man who beat and robbed and elderly man near Admiral and Memorial on July 7.
Andre Baul with TPD said a man pushing a bike is seen walking up to the victim in his driveway. The suspect proceeds to tell the victim he use to play basketball with his son and asked for $50.
Baul said the victim told the suspect he didn’t have it on him, but maybe inside the home and the suspect followed him into his home.

That’s when, Baul said, the suspect threw the man down, hitting him several times, and threw his phone down the hallway so the victim could not call police.
The suspect was seen on camera leaving the victims home roughly 13 minutes after entering, leaving with $170.
Baul adds everyone should be cautious with unfamiliar faces approaching your home.

“If you’re going to talk to them, talk through your door. If you have a storm door, don’t unlock it. Talk through the door that way they can’t get in and keep the door locked. If they’re walking around and they don’t have anything, most people don’t do door-to-door right now especially with the internet, be careful,” he said.
The victim sustained some injuries to his face. He went to the hospital to get check out. He will be okay.
