Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins’ wife is facing charges after the NFL player accused her of punching his face at a Las Vegas hotel, authorities said.
According to WPXI-TV, Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins was charged with battery/domestic violence resulting in substantial bodily harm following a report of a domestic dispute at Las Vegas’ Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino early July 3. Haskins told authorities that Gondrezick-Haskins punched his face, cutting his lip and knocking out one of his teeth, the arrest report said. He was taken to a nearby hospital and treated, the news outlet reported.
Gondrezick-Haskins told police that she and Haskins, who wed in March, were in Las Vegas to renew their vows and celebrate, WPXI reported. At one point during their stay, she struck Haskins’ mouth during an argument, authorities said.
Police arrested Gondrezick-Haskins, who was examined at a hospital before she was booked at the jail, the arrest documents said. WPXI reported that “there was no indication in the police report that ... Haskins had hit his wife or became violent.”
